Direct Play Settings for Plex on the Roku

On the “Settings” screen, scroll down to the “Video” tab. Change the following settings to help insure direct play:

• Local Quality – Original
• Remote Quality – Original
• Direct Play – Auto

The other settings can be left on their default values.

If you have limited bandwidth, you can lower the “Local Quality” and “Remote Quality” settings a step at a time until everything is playing smoothly. But for most people, “Original” should work perfectly.
